The Flavor Bar at Greystone Culinary Institute of America, with 16 seats, offers such workshops as "Chocolate Tasting" and "Taste Like a Chef: Calibrate Your Palate." At $10 per person, the experiences last approximately 15 minutes each.
During the Chocolate Tasting class, you'll learn how chocolate is made, followed by a sampling of cacao in different stages, and from different regions of the world. During the "Taste Like a Chef" class, you can learn how each meal should balance between sweet, sour, bitter and salty for the ultimate flavor explosion.
After your visit, feel free to tour the Spice Islands Marketplace, located alongside the Grand Atrium of the Culinary Institute of America Greystone. This huge campus store sells the latest kitchen gadgets, wine guides, Culinary Institute of America cookware and several Culinary Institute of America books, including "Baking at Home with the Culinary Institute of America" and "Seasons in the Wine Country: Recipes from the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone."

Next, check out the culinary students in action. Through a glass wall, you can view students in the Chocolate Lab, a 675-square-foot space designed for optimum confectionary and chocolate production. All of the Greystone chocolates are available for sale in the store.
