Capra wrote the award-winning film while staying at his favorite La Quinta casita, so it's only fitting that there's a holiday package to match. Rates start at $109, and guests who stay two nights receive a complimentary third night using promo code PBWA2N.
Frank Capra’s grandson, Frank Capra III, and Karolyn Grimes who played Zuzu Bailey in “It’s a Wonderful Life” will attend the La Quinta Resort tree lighting ceremony between 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 27 – officially launching the resort’s winter holiday season.
If you bring a toy donation to the resort’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, you'll receive a complimentary appetizer between Nov. 27 and Dec. 17. Room upgrades will be offered for every toy valued at $25 or more.
Other "It's a Wonderful Life" holiday highlights, featured at the hotel between Nov. 27 and Dec. 25, will include:
