California whale watching tours are offered year-round along the Pacific coast. The season for humpback and blue whales falls between April and
December, while December through April are best for viewing the gray
whales. Occasionally, you might spot killer whales in Monterey between
April and May, when they arrive to hunt gray whale calves.
